The Work and Play Scrapstore is a voluntary organisation and registered charity. On behalf of our members, we collect clean reuseable surplus materials from local industries and make them available to our members as an economical and environmentally friendly resource. Membership of Work and Play Scrapstore provides a substantial financial saving for those who join as we can offer a wide range of interesting, unusual, and useful materials for art, creative, educational and play activities. Just a couple of visits can easily cover the cost of membership. The membership fee is paid annually and varies according to the size and type of organisation or group. Groups using the project range from schools and nurseries to community groups and adult students, and they can visit the project as often as they need to find what they need from the wide variety of materials on offer.
