Volunteers can and do contribute in many
different ways, office and administrative work, helping out with events and
running workshops, supporting and helping members as they look for the things
that will really make their own projects work. We even have some gardening to
do! There are also opportunities to become volunteer
trustees, dealing with the wide implications of running such a project, and
the strategies required to move it forward. Without volunteers the project
would not be able to function and fresh interest from new volunteers is
always welcome…..what could you do? Email us at workandplay@msn.com or phone us on 020 8682 4216 to arrange a visit |

“It is important to me to get out of the house
and to work with a positive group of people.
I enjoy working at Work and
Play as a volunteer in a working environment”. A Volunteer |
“I enjoy giving some of my time back to the community and
was approached by another volunteer to join the project. Work and Play provides many useful
resources for many community organisations to work
with”. Elaine “As a volunteer it gives me great
satisfaction to see interesting materials being used creatively before
finally being disposed of.” Teresa |

“I value the feedback
from members and enjoy listening to their ideas as to how they will be using
the materials from Work and Play. I
also pick up ideas from other volunteers who are skilled in many relevant
fields and so take home new ideas to the benefit of the younger generation”. Marie |
“I consider that by giving my valuable time, the
vital resources that are collected, help to prevent the increase in
landfill”. Doreen |
